A family coach is a partner/sounding board and neutral 3rd party that helps families identify their goals as they help establish new routines and behaviors within the larger family group dynamic.
Clients often include but are not limited to: families who are in crisis, merging families, families entering separation and divorce, adult family members needing to work through unresolved conflicts and families who just need support in their communication and in creating sustainable healthy routines. I look forward to continuing to support our community with family coaching in Boulder, CO.
Is your Child or Teen dealing with any of the following?
These challenges have an impact on your whole family, which is why I try to help every member both individually and as a group.
I coach and mentor youth on how to navigate the challenges of their social circles, employ self-care practices, achieve school/ life balance and time management skills, as well as navigate issues related to anxiety and depression.
Amongst other methodologies I use drama, movement, vocalization, writing and art to inspire self-confidence and self-esteem and to promote better self and social awareness.
I also provide motivation, pushing my students to safely move past their threshold to become the best version of themselves.
My approach is always playful, relatable, dynamic, and very down to earth!
From caretaking a parent who suffered from severe mental illness to raising a family of my own and being an educator for more than 20 years I have expertise grounded in real life experience.
My family clients have called me “relatable” and “worldly with regards to the issues confronting families”
I will provide reflection, modeling and structure as I support behavioral interventions based on your family’s abilities, interests, and strengths.
I will also work with your family to develop and implement alternative behaviors as you learn new ways of communicating, reducing and managing challenging behaviors as you learn to identify and increase positive behaviors and coping skills that promote success.
Whether you’re struggling to communicate effectively or simply need to reset family dynamics, working with a family coach can help every member of your family.
Parenting in a world where we have very little community or familial support is tough.
Parenting in a society where the presence of social media and media in general have such tremendous influence can be downright overwhelming!
I can help!
Parents I will support you in:
In a group session with parents and their kids I use fun and relatable activities.
Such as:
These activities break the ice and help to facilitate positive, clear communication and empathy. Together, we will identify and reinforce positive behaviors and create a concrete plan to foster long term change in your household.
Family coaching can be a combination of individual sessions and sessions together. In our sessions together, I will provide simple tools for parents and their kids to connect more intimately with each other.
This will open the possibility for sustainable trust as it fosters ongoing open dialogue and communication.
